NBA street is by far my favorite. Don't know if you can say its the best, but it is good. I also like the phenom game too as it allows you to earn moey, buy new stuff, etc.

If you wanted to just sit back, play and enjoy the game you should play Live. It had all arcade-ish feel. Everyone can play it with ease.

If you are a basketball fan with a strategy and playbook junkie, you should play 2k8. It's the closest thing to the real NBA game.

between nba 2k8 and nba live i like 2k8 better a lot more detail in the game
they all will get you the same thing. but nba street will keep you interested for a long time, plus its a whole lot more fun whern you got like 4 players going at once.
NBA 2K8 by far has the best graphics of any basketball game I've ever seen. It is so good I am going to go out and buy a PS3 just to play it. Also the 2K game play is far more fluid then the choppy NBA Live. The other basketball games are more geared to casual basketball fans with more role playing and street ball options.
