When I load the game up the game is displayed in black and white. Does anybody have a solution to this problem? I have no trouble with any other games!

you must've inserted the disc too quickly. i've experienced the same thing. i've read somewhere on the internet that if you bend the disc a little and scratch the upper surface of the disc a little but deep enough, it would be a lot more cooperative. i tried it and it worked miracles man...

you should get a different tv cause that games not compatible to the tv this happens to me in gt4 in the ps2 but when we bought a new tv it was colored try it or play in a different tv
It is not an imported game is it, sometimes this happens with imports - ntsc / pal.
